Richard J. "Dick" Florentine, Sr.
Peru - Richard J. "Dick" Florentine, Sr., 78, of the Telegraph Road, Peru, died Thursday, April 21, 2011 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.
He was born in Nutley, NJ, June 5, 1932 the son of Anthony and Viola (Phelan) Florentine.
Dick was the former owner of the Village Mobil Service Station in Keeseville and later drove for the C.A.R.T. Bus Company. He enjoyed spending time outside especially gardening.
Survivors include his loving wife, Joan E (Mosby) Florentine of Peru; his children, Linda Clay, Joan Marie Florentine, Richard Jr., and Mark Florentine; one sister, Joan Yeisley; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; and two children, David and Deborah.
At Dick's request there will be no calling hours or services.
Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru.
