Obituary of Ruth E. Braid

Ruth E. Braid Keeseville - Ruth E. Braid, 77, of AuSable Street, Keeseville, died Thursday, April 22, 2010 at the CVPH Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born in Buffalo, December 3, 1932. She served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1953. Ruth worked for King's and Woolworth's in Plattsburgh for several years. She later drove taxi for Peggy Murphy in Keeseville. Ruth was an avid bowler and was a member of the AuSable Valley Women's Bowling Association. She was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans Women's Auxiliary, American Military Retirees Association, and the Senior Citizens Council. Survivors include her three daughters and sons-in-law, Allyson Braid and Bruno Hebert of Keeseville, Patricia and Dean Benson of Clifton Park, and Barbara and Bernard Foster of Norwood; four sons and two daughters-in-law, George Braid of Fulton, James and Meryl Braid of Keeseville, Thomas Braid of Daytona, FL, and John and Dorothy Braid of Sparrow Bush; twelve grandchildren, Jennifer Kotlarczyk, Brad Benson, Brenda Albrecht, Krissy Burdett, Mark Passino, Nicole, Geoffrey, and Michael Braid, Heather and J.J. Braid, Sara Braid, and Krystina Braid; great-grandchildren, Hailey Villnave, Jeremy and Joshua Albrecht, Connor Braid, Apheylia and Olivia Paphovas; one sister, Donna Connelly of South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, George W. Braid, July 3, 2002. There will be no public calling hours or services. Donations in her memory may be made to the AuSable Valley Women's Bowling Association and mailed to Riverside Bowling Lanes, 2 Mcrea Street, AuSable Forks, NY, 12912.
