Geraldine T. ChaseCadyville - Geraldine T. Chase, 70, of the Goddeau Road, Cadyville, died Friday, December 4, 2009 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with her loving family by her side.She was born in Redford, November 22, 1939, the daughter of Lawrence P. and Bridget (Hogan) Ryan.Geraldine worked at the Clinton County Mental Health Department for many years. She was a Senior Stenographer at the Clinton County Probation Department, retiring from the County after 27 years.She was a past member of the American Legion Post 1623 Ladies Auxiliary and the Catholic Daughters of Dannemora. She was an avid bingo and slot player, who was well known in the "bingo" and "slot" machine world. Geraldine loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandson.Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Richard H. "Buggs" Chase whom she married on May 12, 1962 in Dannemora; four daughters, Lynn Drollette and husband Bruce of Cadyville, Charlene Favaro and husband Jeffrey of Cadyville, Tammy Juntunen and husband Jamey of Chazy Lake, and Gerry Newell and husband Ted of Saranac; eight grandchildren, Stephanie and Matt Drollette, Jessica and Jeremy Favaro, Richard R. Chase, Maddy Newell, and Josh and Brett Juntunen; one great grandson, Cooper Franks; special niece Eileen Wood; two sisters, Esther Noel and husband Richard of Dannemora, and Margaret Bond and husband Donald of Plattsburgh; and several nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, James, Paul, Lawrence, Henry, John, Leo and Tom; and sisters, Elizabeth Cormier, and Mary Eileen Lucia.Calling hours will be held Sunday, December 6, 2009 from 4 to 7pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, December 7, 2009 at 1pm at St. James Church in Cadyville with Rev. William G. Reamer, CVPH Chaplain, celebrating. Donations in her memory may be made to the Cadyville Fire Department or to her family to be dispersed between several local charities of Geraldine's preference.Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. 643-9055
