Obituary of Jean I. Perkett

Jean I. Perkett Keeseville - Jean I. Perkett, 82, of the Finney Road, Keeseville, died Sunday, November 22, 2009 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with her loving family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh, September 1, 1927, the daughter of Leo and Emma (Perkett) Baraby. She graduated from Keeseville High School and later attended college in the Plattsburgh. She married Wilfred J. Perkett, October 19, 1946 in Essex. He passed Monday, November 5, 2007. She enjoyed reading and cooking, but her true joy was her granddaughter. Jean possessed a strong but quiet nature. She was a source of wisdom and guidance throughout the years for her family. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Raymond Gordon of Keeseville; one granddaughter and her husband, Judy and Dale Cetnar of Broadalbin; one brother and sister-in-law, Louis and Wanda Baraby of Keeseville; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, her parents and one sister, Doris Philipanko, predeceased her. At Jean's request there will be no public calling hours or services. Donations in Jean's memory may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church in Keeseville. Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville. 834-7667
