Thelma Mae BonhommePeru - Thelma Mae Bonhomme, 81, of the Lapham Mills Road, Peru, died Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.She was born in Peru, September 28, 1928, the daughter of Willard and Dora (Pelkey) Brownell. Her parents owned and operated the former Brownell's Grill in Peru.She married Real "Tilou the Fiddler" Bonhomme on August 11, 1956. He passed, February 22, 2001.Thelma was a caring homemaker and loving wife, mother and grandmother throughout her adult life. She enjoyed watching game shows, doing crossword puzzles, and playing bingo.Survivors include her three sons and daughter, Steven Bonhomme of Plattsburgh, Scott Bonhomme of Peru, David Bonhomme and his wife Sue of Plattsburgh, and Michelle McBrayer and her husband Daniel of Plattsburgh; grandchildren, Ashley, Jeremy, Nicole, Josh, Tosha, Amanda, Karen, and Kayla and her husband Jeff; former daughter-in-law, Mitzy Bonhomme of Lewis; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her sister, Beatrice Everleth.Calling hours will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2009 from 4 to 7pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 11am at St. Augustine's Church in Peru with Rev. Alan D. Shnob, parish pastor, celebrating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.Donations in her memory may be made to the Elmore SPCA in Peru.Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. 643-9055
