Lillian H. MartinKeeseville - Lillian H. Martin, 97, of Route 9, Keeseville, peacefully entered into God's Kingdom, Thursday, October 1, 2009 from the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with her loving family by her side.She was born in Willsboro, January 31, 1912, the daughter of Fred and Rose (Mero) Young.Lillian married James A. Martin, October 19, 1929. She was a homemaker and a wonderful cook. Her family especially loved her baked goods and homemade fudge. Lillian enjoyed reading, bowling, and square dancing.She was a member of the Keeseville Senior Citizens, the Altar Rosary Society, a lifetime member of the Catholic Daughters and a communicant of St. John's the Baptist Church in Keeseville.Survivors include her three sons and daughters-in-law, Lyman and Marion of Keeseville, James Warren and Judy of Plattsburgh, and Peter and Maxine of Keeseville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 47 years; one sister; four brothers; three grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.At Lillian's request there will be no public calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at 10am at St. John's Church in Keeseville with Monsignor Leeward J. Poissant, parish pastor, celebrating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Keeseville Rescue Squad or a charity of one's choice.Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville. 834-7667
