Obituary of Garry R. Manor

Garry R. ManorChamplain - Garry R. Manor, 49, of the Gamlaw Road, Champlain, died Monday, August 31, 2009 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with his loving family by his side. He was born in Saint Lambert, Quebec, May 30, 1960 the son of Roy and Doreen (Saunders) Manor. Garry graduated from North Eastern Clinton Central School in 1979. Throughout his all to brief life he was employed at various companies including, Grand Union, Delagar, the railroad, and most recently Wyeth Pharmaceuticals where he has worked for 27 years. He began there as an operator and more recently held the title of technician. He enjoyed working with wood, watching Mash, old westerns, and he loved to go camping. He was outgoing and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Barbara J. (Anthony) Manor, whom he married August 23, 1997; his beloved son, Dustin; his mother Doreen (Saunders) Manor and her companion, Robert Letourneau of Champlain; his mother-in-law, Rose Anthony of Rouses Point; two sisters, Debra Blainey of Georgia, Lauria Cayea and her husband, Kevin of Champlain and their three children, Ashley, Bradley, and Christopher; two brothers, Lawrence Manor and his wife, Robin of Champlain and their children, Timothy and Eric; and James Manor and his companion, Shana Blain of Champlain and her daughter, Ciera; three brothers-in-law and their families, three-sisters-in-law and their families; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Roy Manor, February 16, 2000; paternal grandparents, Albert and Leona Manor; and maternal grandparents, Albert and Evelyn Saunders. An open gathering for family and friends will be held Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 7pm at the Rouses Point American Legion.
