Ella M. EstesKeeseville - Ella M. Estes, 56, of Hollywood Avenue, Keeseville, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at her home. She was born in Plattsburgh, September 23, 1952, the daughter of Francis H. "Joe" Sr., and Matilda (LaBounty) Estes. She grew up in Keeseville and graduated from Keeseville High School in 1971. She later graduated from Clinton Community College. She was a member of the Keeseville VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and the AuSable Forks American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in AuSable Forks. She was a mother to many. She enjoyed playing bunco, shuffleboard, painting and ceramics, and loved to cook for her family. She also enjoyed collecting angels. Survivors include her siblings, Donald Estes and his wife Carol of AuSable Forks, Zeb Estes and his wife Sandra of Keeseville, Charles Estes and his wife Zana of Keeseville, Robert Estes and his companion, JoAnne Drake of Keeseville, John and Dale Estes of Peru, Richard Estes of Keeseville, Laurie Johnpeer and companion Kevin Corson of Plattsburgh, and Debra Bola and her husband Michael of Peru; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and her special furry companion, Angel. She was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Francis, Jr., and Carl; and one uncle, Carl P. Estes.Calling hours will be held Friday, August 14, 2009 from 1 to 2pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville. A funeral service will follow at 2pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Sunday, August 23, 2009 at 12pm at St. John's Cemetery in Keeseville. Donations in her memory may be made to St. James Episcopal Church, Essex County Mental Health, or the Keeseville Rescue Squad.Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville. 834-7667
