Obituary of Dorothy J. Siddon

Dorothy J. Siddon Keeseville - Dorothy J. Siddon, 91, of Cedar Court, Keeseville, died Sunday, July 19, 2009 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Plattsburgh, October 13, 1917, the daughter of Matthew and Matilda (McDonald) Twining. Dorothy was a cook manager at AuSable Valley Central School from 1962 until 1989. She was a member of the Ladies of the Elks in Keeseville and enjoyed dancing at the Elks Lodge. She is survived by her children, Sheila Siddon of Keeseville and Rick Siddon and his wife Kathy of Peru; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Foster C. Siddon, April 1, 1972; and siblings, Noble Twining, Elsie Ewing, Elizabeth Fitzgerald, and Connie Twining. Calling hours will be held Thursday, July 23, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, July 24, 2009 at 10am at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh with Rev. William G. Reamer, CVPH Chaplain, celebrating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery in Plattsburgh. Donations in her memory may be made to the CVPH Skilled Nursing Foundation C/O Joy Cummings or Masses.
