Richard Patrick KingChazy Lake - Richard Patrick King, 66, of Sarasota, Florida, formerly of Chazy Lake died April 25, 2009 at his home in Sarasota, Fl.He was born in Chazy Lake, May 1, 1942, the son of the late Ernest and Anna (Peryea) King, Sr.Richard graduated from Dannemora High School and served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965 before marrying Joyce Ann Rayburn on February 4, 1967 in Pope Mills, NY.He enjoyed fine wood working, clocks and toy trains were his specialty.He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joyce of Sarasota, Florida; one daughter, Richelle Johnson and husband Marty of St. Cloud; one son, Greg King and wife Carrie of Orlando; three brothers, Jerry King and wife Betty of Cadyville, Lincoln King and wife Elaine of Chazy Lake, and Bernard King and wife Janette of Las Vegas; two sisters, Maryann Keenan and husband Peter of Peru, and Aurelia McCusker of Cadyville; three grandchildren, Ryan, Emily and Madeline all of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was predecased by two brothers, Ernest and Russell; one sister-in-law, Joan; and five nephews, Peter, Russell, Ross, David and Wayne King.Richard will be memorialized at the 4pm Mass on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora. Rev. Donald F. Kramberg, parish pastor, will celebrate. Burial will be in a National Veterans cemetery in Florida. Donations in his memory may be made to the H.K. Freedman Renal Center, 91 Plaza Boulevard, Plattsburgh, NY 12901.Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. 643-9055
