Obituary of John E. Sousis, Sr.

John E. Sousis, Sr. Keeseville - John E. Sousis, Sr., 46, of Grove Street, Keeseville died unexpectedly, Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. John was born in Plattsburgh, April 2, 1963 the son of Beatrice Sousis. John graduated from AuSable Valley Central School. He was a concrete floor finisher for many years and was currently employed with Steven E. Fuller Excavating Inc. John was a devoted father who loved going camping and ATV riding with his family. He is survived by his three children; two daughters, Kaylena M. Sousis and Kaitlynn A. Sousis, and his son, John E. Sousis, Jr. all of Keeseville; his mother, Beatrice Sousis of Keeseville; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Wayne Pelkey of Keeseville; his companion Gail Ducharme of Keeseville; aunts, uncles and several cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Kelly L. (King) Sousis who passed away December 26, 2003; grandparents, John and Rose Sousis; and father-in-law, Leonard King. Calling hours will be held Friday, May 15, 2009 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 10am at the Evergreen Cemetery in Keeseville where Rev. Edie A. Poland will recite committal prayers.
