Obituary of Christine A. Doner

Christine A. (Dobbs) Doner Keeseville - Christine A. (Dobbs) Doner, 45, of Route 22, Keeseville, died unexpectedly, Saturday, May 2, 2009 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Plattsburgh, August 6, 1963 the daughter of Gerald and Carmen (Lopez) Dobbs. Christine was a 1981 graduate of AuSable Valley Central School. She was currently a Team Lead Electrical Assembler at Bombardier in Plattsburgh, where she has worked for 12 years. She was an avid outdoorswoman and especially enjoyed fishing and hunting. She hunted with both a bow and arrow and a rifle and was successful, including a bear in 2006 and several deer. Christine also had a passion for riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle. Christine had a beautiful, radiant smile. She will be remembered as fun loving, good natured, and a dedicated mother and worker. Survivors include her soulmate, A.J. Harrell of Keeseville; her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Loribeth and Ryan Fisher of Sidney, NY; her parents, Gerald and Carmen Dobbs of Keeseville; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Cathy and Chip Wyand of Plattsburgh, Caryn Moran of Keeseville; and Cheryl Dobbs and companion, Gilles Hebert, Jr. of Keeseville; three nieces, Courtney Pray, Alaina Rushford, and Ariana Moran; two nephews, Brandon Moran and Matthew Rushford; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Sherry and Leona Dobbs, and Benjamin and Anna Lopez. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 am at St. John's Church in Keeseville with Monsignor Leeward J. Poissant, pastor, celebrating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in the family plot in St. John's Cemetery in Keeseville. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to a scholarship fund to be established at the AuSable Valley Central School; payable to: Christine Doner Scholarship Fund, 28 Liberty Street, Sidney, NY, 13838.
