Geraldine A. ScarlettPlattsburgh - Geraldine A. Scarlett, 75, of Military Turnpike, Plattsburgh, died Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at the CVPH Medical Center.She was born in Bayfield, Wisconsin, September 16, 1933, the daughter of Edwin and Nell (Hebert) Erickson.Geraldine was an active member of the Peru VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 309. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and enjoyed crocheting. The obit photo was lovingly carried in her husband's wallet for 42 years. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Wallace Elwood Scarlett, whom she married, November 23, 1966 in Hickory, NC; her children, Christine Lydick, Tammy and husband Carl Stahl, Lee Scheunemann, Edwin (Scheunemann) and wife Sharon Nugent, Leonard "Dean" Scheunemann; two brothers, James and Len Erickson; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; close friend of 35 years, Judith LeFave; close friend and traveling companion, Marilyn Sawyer; and several nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her parents; daughter, Beverly (Scheunemann) Laver; granddaughter, Shanna Scheunemann; sister, Debbie; and brother, Richard.Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 16, 2009 from 6 to 7:30pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A memorial service will be held at 7:30pm at the funeral home with Rev. Alan D. Shnob, officiating. Donations in her memory may be made to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center.Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. 643-9055
