Marion Jean PrayKeeseville - Marion Jean Pray, 79, of Route 9N, Keeseville, died Saturday, April 4, 2009 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh, with her loving family by her side.She was born in Delanco, New Jersey, June 7, 1929, the daughter of Morris Hanley Wilson and Marion Estelle (Caterall) Wilson. Marion graduated from Palmyra High School in Palmyra, New Jersey.She was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, and a communicant of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Keeseville where she was an active participant in numerous church activities. She had a strong faith in God and his son Jesus Christ. Marion was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who provided unconditional love for her family. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, crafts, gardening, bingo, traveling, walking and spending time outdoors watching birds and appreciating nature, but her true love was spending time with her grandchildren.Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Clifford Allen Pray, whom she married March 26, 1955 at the Atlantic City Navel Base Chapel; her two children, Thomas C. Pray and wife Karen (Bulson) Pray of Peru, and Patti (Pray) Mendofik and her husband, David, Jr. of Keeseville; nine grandchildren, Shane Ian Pray of Creve Couer, Missouri, Vanessa Vera Pray of Portland, Oregon, Rebecca Pray of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Megan Charland of Rochester, Lauren Charland of Peru, Sara Charland of Peru, Jesse Charland of Peru, Christie Baker of Beekmantown, Heath Baker of Orlando, Florida; four great-grandchildren, Hailey Perin of Portland, Oregon, Emily Perin of Portland, Oregon, Alexander Schaffer of Klamath Falls, Oregon, and Isabella Soucia of Peru; one sister, Anna May Sprague of Keeseville Country Gardens; two brothers, Maurice C. "Bud" Wilson of Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, and Charles E. Wilson of Barnegat, New Jersey; and many nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her parents; and her sister-in-law, Pauline Wilson.There will be no public calling hours. A memorial service will be held Monday, April 27, 2009 at 6pm at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Keeseville. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Beverly, New Jersey.Donations in her memory may be made to the H.K. Freedman Renal Center in Plattsburgh.
