Obituary of Brian J. Rivers

Brian J. RiversCadyville - Brian J. Rivers, 49, of State Route 3, Cadyville, died Thursday, March 19, 2009 at the CVPH Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.He was born in Plattsburgh, September 20, 1959, the son of Joseph and Janet (LaBounty) Rivers.Brian graduated from Saranac Central School. He most recently worked as a chef at the Ground Round in Plattsburgh. Brian was an avid fisherman.He is survived by his wife of 4 years, Brandy J. (Cashmore) Rivers, whom he married October 9, 2004 at the Plattsburgh Church of the Nazarene; his daughter, Katelyn Swensen of Cadyville; his mother, Janet (LaBounty) Rivers of Cadyville; one brother and sister-in-law, Beryl and Erika Rivers of Maryland; mother-in-law, Rochelle Cashmore of Sacramento, CA; and several nieces and nephews.Brian was predeceased by his father, Joseph N. Rivers; and father-in-law, William J. Cashmore.There will be no public calling hours or services.Donations in his memory may be made to a scholarship fund to be established to assist his daughter with her education.Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru.643-9055
