Ethel L. SmithClintonville - Ethel L. Smith, 102, of the Smith Street, Clintonville, died Thursday, February 26, 2009 at her home surrounded by her loving family.She was born in Jay, NY, November 14, 1906, the daughter of Charles and Pauline (Snide) Dubay.Ethel worked at the Land of Make Believe and Tralaland. She was an active member of St Catherine's Church in Clintonville. Most recently, Ethel was a homemaker who greatly enjoyed raising her grandchildren and great grandchildren.She is survived by two daughters, Ellen Massaro of Clintonville and Iona Bouyea and husband Richard of Clintonville; grandchildren, Pete Massaro and wife Karen of Clintonville, Michelle Bola and husband Steve of AuSable Forks, Karen Eissler of Clintonville, Marlene Jesse and husband Tom of Morrisonville, Richard Bouyea and wife Elizabeth of Clintonville, Judy Haywood and husband Robert of AuSable Forks, and Carolyn Martin and husband John of Keeseville; great grandchildren, Steven, Jessica and Nathan Bola, Meghan and Nicholas Massaro, Tiffany Eissler, Mindy and MaryEllen Jesse, Corey Bouyea, Alan Winchel, Jesse Shambo, Heather and Robert Haywood, and Jaimie and Brandee Martin; two great great grandchildren, Zachary Bola and Porter Goodman.She was predeceased by her parents; husband Horatio Smith who died October 26, 1976; great great grandson Jacob David Bola; and several siblings.Calling hours will be held Sunday, March 1, 2009 from 2 to 5pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, March 2, 2009 at 2pm at St John's Church, Keeseville with Rev Monsignor Leeward J. Poissant, pastor, celebrating. Burial will follow in the Clintonville Methodist Cemetery, Sand Hill Road.Donations in her memory may be made to St. John's Church in Keeseville.Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville. 834-7667
