Peru - Erika L. Fiske, 47, of Main Street, Peru, died unexpectedly, Friday, January 23, 2009 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.
She was born in Nashua, NH, May 23, 1961 the daughter of Hans and Roberta (Mutti) Kaufhold of Peterborough, NH.
Erika graduated from Conval High School in 1979. She and her husband and family moved to Peru in 1990. She was a rep and later manager for Avon for many years. Most recently she owned and operated the Village Liquor Shoppe in Keeseville.
Erika was a devoted and loving mother and wife. She enjoyed camping and taking trips with her family. She will be greatly missed for her quick and beautiful smile and her ever and open, loving and generous heart. Erika and her husband Bob were dedicated blood donors.
In addition to her parents she lives on through her four children, Josh, Eric, Elizabeth and Jenny and her husband of 27 years, Robert Fiske, whom she married June 20, 1981 at the Congregational Church in Temple, NH. Survivors also include her brothers, John Kaufhold; Peter Kaufhold and wife Betsey; and Tom Kaufhold; her sisters, Heidi Kaufhold; and Valli Hannings and husband Rob; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2009 from 4 to 7pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. Calling hours will also be held Friday, January 30, 2009 from 4 to 7pm at the Cournoyer Funeral Home, 33 River Street, Jaffrey, NH. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 2pm at the Congregational Church, Route 45, Temple, NH. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in the spring in Peterborough, NH.
In lieu of flowers, Erika's family request folks to donate blood and/or take your family on a camping trip in her memory.
