Arthur R. Murcray Keeseville - Arthur R. Murcray, 70, of Frontage Road, Gloversville, died Monday, December 29, 2008 at the Concord Hospital in Concord, New Hampshire. He was born in Plattsburgh, June 24, 1938, the son of Robert H. and Aileen F. (King) Murcray. Captain of both his baseball and basketball teams, the 1955 graduate of Keeseville Central School continued onto Admiral Farragut Academy in Pine Beach, NJ where he was given the honor of Platoon Leader. He enlisted and traveled the world with the United States Navy as a Aerial and Under Water Photographer. He received his Associates Degree in Business Management and Accounting from Albany Business College (1963-64) and Saint Rose College (1964-65), which lead him onto many self owned business proprietorships. China Fleet Tailors/Albany Color Sales, Art Murcray Auctions/Tri State Auctions, Mercury Enterprises, and currently co-owner of the Dolphins Cove in Balston Spa, NY. He remained an active member of the Ausable Forks American Legion and his hobbies include hunting, golfing, watching cooking shows, and of course the love of cooking. He leaves behind his daughter Melissa, her husband Todd Fredericks, and his beloved twin grandchildren, Emma Aileen (Little Lady) and Brody Harris (Big Man), all of Weare, New Hampshire. A Celebration of his life will be held at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville, NY calling hours will be from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Thursday, January 1st. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, January 2nd at Saint John the Baptist Church, 1803 Main Street, Keeseville, NY. Arthur will be buried with military honors following the memorial services at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Veterans Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Ausable Forks American Legion or any National Veterans Organization.
