Audrey J. Allen Keeseville - Audrey J. Allen, 88, of AuSable Street, Keeseville, died Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at the Meadowbrook Healthcare Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Plattsburgh, April 4, 1920, the daughter of Hurbert and Amelia (Ouimette) St. John. She grew up in Keeseville and attended Keeseville High School. She and her husband owned and operated Allen's Texaco in Keeseville for several years and the Knotty Pine Lodge, also in Keeseville, for 37 years. She was a member of the Keeseville Elks Ladies Auxiliary and the AuSable Forks American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Audrey loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband, Clarence C. Allen of Keeseville; children, Sharon Hackett and companion Ron Sherling of Keeseville, Peter Allen and wife Ramona "Nicky" Allen of Keeseville, and Terry Allen and wife Laurel of Peru; grandchildren, David Hackett and wife Jennine of Peru, Doug Hackett and wife Karen of California, Kenneth Hackett and wife Jennifer of Peru, Clarence "CC" Hackett of Plattsburgh, Derrick Hackett and wife Sarah of Plattsburgh, Peter Allen and Laura of Peru, Kelly Allen of Plattsburgh, Kimberly Allen and companion Bill of Peru, Yvonne Morrow of Peru, Michelle Bellinger and husband David of Peru, Krista Dick and husband Scott of Peru, Leann Nixon and husband Joseph of Peru, and Terry Allen and wife Cynthia of Morrisonville; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Robert Victor St. John and wife Kay of Malone, Muriel LaBombard of AuSable Forks, John St. John and wife Marie of Tennessee, and Kathy St. John of Peru; one special niece, Gail Phifer of Plattsburgh; and many other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; one son Gary Ensign; one grandson, William Lussier Hackett; and siblings, Harold St. John, Marjorie Cobb, Gordon St. John, and Donald St. John. There will be no public calling hours. A memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 11am at St. John's Church in Keeseville with Rev. Gilbert B. Menard, retired, celebrating. Donations in her memory may be made to the Nun's at Our Lady of Victory. Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville.
