Obituary of Clifton C. Taylor

Clifton C. "Tin" Taylor Peru - Clifton C. "Tin" Taylor, 78, of Pleasant Street/Route 22B, Peru, died Monday, December 8, 2008 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Newburgh, NY, August 3, 1930, the son of Charles and Laura (LaMare) Taylor. He grew up in Peru and attended Peru School. He was a self employed logger and owned Star Route Grocery in Peru. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Theresa (Agoney) Taylor, whom he married September 4, 1949 in Keeseville; his children, Edward Taylor and wife Shirley of North Carolina, Angela Zachin and husband Scott of Dallas Texas, Cinday Stratton and husband Donald of Peru, and Terrilyn Groom and husband Steven of Dallas, Texas; 11 grandchildren including one special grandson, Derrek "Bear" LaForest of Peru; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and one son, Kirby Clifton, March 17, 2008. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be held in the Whispering Maples Memorial Mausoleum in Plattsburgh. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Augustine's Church.
