Pauline G. Barcomb Mooers Forks- Pauline G. Barcomb, 68, of the Blackman Corners Road, Mooers Forks, died Thursday, December 4, 2008 at her home, surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Hospice of the North Country. She was born in Churubusco, January 24, 1940, the daughter of Armand and Doria (Trombley) DeCosse. She grew up in Churubusco and attended school in Ellenburg. Pauline worked for Tru-Stitch in Malone for several years, and later was a stock clerk for many years at Wyeth-Ayerst in Rouses Point. She was a communicant of St. Ann's Church in Mooers Forks. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed crocheting, and playing Yatzee and other games and even when she was not well no one could beat her. Survivors include two daughters and two sons-in-law, Nancy and James Ell of Mooers Forks and Lorraine and Steve Martin of Wells, Maine; five granddaughters, Ashley Martin, Gina Martin, Veronica Martin, Dakota Martin, and Piper Martin; three great-grandsons; her siblings, Annette Trombley of Massena, Anita Trombley of Chateaugay, Helen and husband Roma Decoste Mooers Forks, Shirley and Lionel Barcomb of Mooers Forks, and Joanne and Reginald Barcomb of Batavia; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 50 years, Jacques J. Barcomb, whom she married October 25, 1958 in St. Philomena Church in Churubusco; brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Leatrice DeCosse; two brothers-in-law, Clarence and Ross Trombley; and one son-in-law, Clayton Michael Harrell. Calling hours will be held Monday, December 8, 2008 from 6 to 8pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 793 Gilbert Road, Mooers. Members of the Mooers Knights of Columbus Council 6136 will meet at the Hamilton Funeral Home for a 6pm service. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 10am at St. Ann's Church in Mooers Forks. Rev. Gerald A. Cerank, pastor, will celebrate, with Rev. Howard P. McCasland, pastor of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Churubusco, concelebrating. Entombment will follow in the Whispering Maples Memorial Mausoleum in Ellenburg Center. Donations in her memory may made to the Hospice of the North Country. Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 793 Gilbert Road, Mooers. 236-4747
