Mary I. Baker Clintonville - Mary I. Baker, 72, of Route 9N, Clintonville, died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. She was born in Plattsburgh, November 15, 1935, the daughter of Elmer and Evelyn (Fisher) Duprey. Mary worked at the Child Development Center on the Plattsburgh Air Force Base for 15 years until it closed. She later worked at the Gerald B. Edwards Training Center until retiring in 2000. Mary loved working at both places. She also enjoyed spending time with her family especially Sunday dinners and Holidays. Survivors include her children, Dawn and husband Richard "Beatle" Vassar of Keeseville, Bucky and wife Aleta Baker of Keeseville, Robin and husband Nick Damiani of Schuyler Falls, Bobby and wife Lourie Baker of Keeseville, Melody Baker of Ohio, Carl Baker, II of Clintonville, and Autumn and husband Leo Jeskie of Cambridge, NY, step-daughter, Gina and husband Mike Agoney of Morrisonville and a step son Albert, Jr. and wife Elaine Ruest of AuSable Forks; 24 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; 15 step great grandchildren; one step great-great grandson; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; one son, Dana Baker, July 23, 1993; one grand daughter, Carie Vassar, November 4, 1991; a long time companion, Albert Ruest Sr., September 15, 1989 and former husband, Carleton Baker, September 12, 1997. Calling hours will be held Saturday, November 1, 2008 from 11 to 1pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 1:30pm at St. John's Church in Keeseville with Rev. William G. Reamer, CVPH Chaplain, celebrating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Keeseville. Donations in Mary's memory may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Camp Ta-Kum-Ta, Ronald McDonald House or the Keeseville Rescue Squad.
