Obituary of Albert J. Giddings, Sr

Albert J. Giddings, Sr. Keeseville - Albert J. Giddings, Sr., 69, of Keeseville Country Gardens, died Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Keeseville, September 12, 1939, the son of Frank and Elizabeth (LaFountain) Giddings. He worked for several years at the Grand Union in Keeseville. Albert was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a friendly people person and loved to visit with people. He also enjoyed collecting eagles. Survivors include his children, Eleanor and husband, James Shipley of Raymond, New Hampshire, Albert and wife, Kezia Giddings of Plattsburgh, Michael and wife, Sherry Giddings of Sanford, Maine, and Judi Giddings of Keeseville; grandchildren, Libby and James Shipley, Brandon, Maliana, Mila Giddings, Todd Barree, Crystal, Eric, Michael, Jr., and Mary Jane Giddings, Shannon and Kasandra Giddings, David, Mikael, and Kristina Bresette; great-grandchildren, Destini Bresette, and Kayden Giddings; one longtime special friend, Wally LaPoint; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and several brothers and sisters. There will be no public calling hours. A gathering of family and friends for words of remembrance will be held Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 10:30am at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville. Donations in his memory may be made to the Autobahn Society or the Keeseville Rescue Squad.
