Toy C. Morse, 69, of Route 22, Peru, passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 24, 2023 at her home under the loving care of her family and Hospice of the North Country. She was born in Albany on July 23, 1953, the daughter of Ivis Chamberlain. Prior to her retirement, Toy was employed by Sunmount DDSO as an accountant where she made many lifelong friends. Some of Toy's fondest memories were boating and spending days at the lake with her dear friends Chris and Craig Mullen, lunch dates with her sister in law Marian Morse Peters, watching Dallas Cowboys football on Sundays, and what she treasured most, spending time with her five grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Matthew Morse and fiance Melinda Krause and children, Kaiden Morse, Avery Morse, and Asher Morse, and Landon Morse and wife Ellyn and daughters, Lilliana Morse and Lennyn Morse; sister in laws Amy (Morse) Laforest, Karen Morse, and Beverly Chamberlain; brother in law Michael V. Morse; many nieces and nephews including a special niece, "Katie J" (Peters) Francia; and her faithful canine, Achilles. In addition to her mother she was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Roy C. Morse; brother, Vernon Chamberlain; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marian and John Peters. Relatives and friends are invited to call on June 5, 2023 from 4 to 6 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. Donations in memory of Toy C. Morse may be made to the Peru Elmore SPCA and/or the Peru Fire and Rescue. Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru, 643-9055.
