
Obituary of Lucille J. Mournet

Lucille J. (Rabideau) Mournet, 91, passed away on May 1, 2023 at St. Joseph's Home in Ogdensburg, NY.
She was born in Lacolle, Quebec on June 25, 1931, the daughter of Joseph and Clara (Patenaude) Coupal.
Lucille was always proud of her teaching career. She began her career in Canada before emigrating to the U.S. She married Vernon Rabideau on July 4, 1953, and moved to the United States and started her family. Although she worked many jobs, she was always a teacher at heart. In the early 1960's, she enrolled in Plattsburgh State to meet the requirements to teach in the United States. She graduated from college and began her teaching career in 1964. Teaching at Mooers Elementary into the late 1980's.
Left to cherish her memory are; her brothers, Rene (Dorothy) Coupal of Mooers and Claude (Jocelyn) Coupal of St. Luc, Quebec. Her children, Dan and Elisabeth Rabideau of St. Cyr en Arties France, Lee and Diana Rabideau of Frederick, MD, and Karen and William Perry of Brandon, NY. Her grandchildren, Courtney Rabideau, Shannon (Kasey) Hundt, Ryan (Toni) Rabideau, Corey (Melany) Rabideau, Brianna (Sean) Howie, Taylor Trombley (Mollie Hoffman), Sarah Trombley (Gabriel Higareda), and Josiah Trombley. Her great grandchildren, Kole, Ollivander and Lochlan Howie, and Clare and Avery Hundt and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by both of her husbands, Vernon Rabideau in 1997 and Andrew Mournet in 2014. Her brother, Raymond Coupal,; brothers and sisters in law, Roger and Theresa Rabideau, Giles Rabideau and Dolores (Rabideau) Smith, Alma and Francis Veivia; nephews, Randy, Rick, and Kenneth Coupal; and niece, Cecile Rabideau.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, May 8, 2023 from 10:30 to 12:30 pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 793 Gilbert Road, Mooers. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1 pm at St. Ann's Church, Route 11, Mooers Forks. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph's Church in Mooers.
