
Obituary of Gladys T. Bombard

Gladys T. Bombard, 98, of the Port Douglas Road, Keeseville, died Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at her home, under the loving care of her family and High Peaks Hospice.
She was born in Keeseville, November 18, 1924, the daughter of Alfred and Georgiana (Frazier) Tellier. She grew up in Keeseville, and graduated Keeseville Central School in 1941.
She married T. Edward Bombard in 1946. He predeceased her May 23, 2000.
Gladys worked for NYS Senator George Eustis Paine for several years and then for the Law Office of O'Connell and Wolfe in Plattsburgh.
She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.
Gladys enjoyed crocheting, and spending time visiting with friends and family. She was always open to learning and sharing her knowledge, including history.
Left to cherish the memory of Gladys are her children, Thomas Edward Bombard, Jr., Cynthia A. Hughes (Kevin), and Jan E. Scholl; grandchildren, Danielle Bombard, Jody Bombard, Jason J. Hughes (Erika), Kevin M. Hughes (Andrea), and Derek Scholl (Elanie); great grandchildren, Hunter Barnes, Adam, Audrey, and Oliver Hughes, Emily Hughes, and Peter, Katherine, and Drew Scholl; her sister-in-law, Linda Tellier; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Joan Bombard; and eleven brothers and sisters and their spouses.
Calling hours will be held Monday, May 8, 2023 from 4 to 6 pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at 10 am in St. John's Church in Keeseville. Committal prayers and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
