Obituary of Peggy Louise McDuffe

Peggy Louise McDuffe, 75, of Peasleeville Road, Schuyler Falls, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 24, 2023 at the UVM Health Network – CVPH, Plattsburgh with her loving family by her side. She was born in Miami, Florida on January 1, 1948, the daughter of Albert and Ann (Davis) Shaffer. Peggy spent many years working retail, retiring from Walgreens in 2002. In her retirement she cared for her grandchildren, spoiled her cat (Missy) and loved spending time with her family. She is predeceased by her husband, Richard Keith McDuffe. Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Lawrence Miller (Laurie Duso), Amy Poynter, Rachel Brow (Mark Brow), Jason Poynter (Selina Poynter) and step-son Richard Michael McDuffe (Katrina Maniquis); grandchildren, Kyle Miller, Katie Nguyen (Steven Nguyen), Kristen Duso, Joe Duso, Amber Gordon, Hugh (Alex) Gordon, III (Keri Gordon), Hudson Gordon, John (Junior) Pirvan (Emily Pirvan), Alexis Kadlac (Matt LaDieu), BrookLynne Kadlac, Jayden Poynter, Rhylan Poynter and Liam McDuffe; and great-grandchildren, Jace Ormsby, Bailee Gagnier, Josie St. Germaine, Lana Gordon, Calvin Gordon, John Pirvan Jr., Makenna Pirvan, Makinlee Pirvan, Mia Pirvan, and Eleanor Nguyen. Relatives and friends are invited to call Tuesday, May 2, 2023 from 11 to Noon at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A funeral service will follow at Noon in the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel. Committal prayers and burial will follow in the Peasleeville Cemetery.
