Obituary of Eileen Jane Kuhns

Please share a memory of Eileen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our angel without wings on earth has finally been awarded her wings and promoted to heavenly angel. Eileen Jane Kuhns, 86, of State Route 3, Plattsburgh, died Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at the UVM Health Network, CVPH in Plattsburgh. Everyone knew her as Grammy and by her little hats she wore. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, December 15, 1936, the daughter of Carroll and Verna (Taylor) Creswell. In her earlier years, she worked in accounting/bookkeeping, but her passion was caretaking which she did into her late 70's. She had a hard time having that role reversed on her but her last few months at Pine Harbour she appreciated and accepted all her care. Her family would like to thank all the staff and residence there that made her feel so welcome and taken such great care of her. She loved to play the piano, but her greatest pride and joys were her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren who gave her the name, GiGi. She was a long standing member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. There she made many lifelong friends whose prayers helped her through her last years of her life. She will be dearly and deeply missed by all. Left to cherish the memory of Eileen are, brother, Doug (Ruth) Creswell; daughter, Patti MacLean; sons, Dale (Michelle) McComsey, Keith (Patty) McComsey, and Neil McComsey; former daughters-in-law, Jennie and Lisa; former son-in-law, James; grandchildren, Jennifer MacLean (Kent Fessette), Jaclyn (Andrew) Beach, Candace McComsey, Joel McComsey, and Holly Lundeen; great-grandchildren, Lyla and Stetson Beach; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ed Kuhns; sister, Jean Snouffer; brother, Don Creswell; and grandson, Martin McComsey. There will be no public calling hours or services. Donations in her memory may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer or the Morrisonville EMS. Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru, 643-9055.
