Obituary of Tyler Kefton Barshow

Please share a memory of Tyler to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Tyler Kefton Barshow, 28, of Peru, and more recently of Plattsburgh, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. He was born in Burlington, VT, on January 8, 1995, the son of Scott and Lora (Colby) Barshow. Tyler was a kind man who was hard to get to know but even harder to forget. He had a passion for life and loved to be helpful to those in need. He was often quiet and introspective. At his heart he was an adventurer who loved to push boundaries. He loved his family and was devoted to them. Tyler wasn’t much of a talker, but he always had a movie quote, joke, or song that he would convey his thoughts with. Tyler enjoyed the simple things in life, the satisfaction of a job well done, a good cup of coffee and a conversation with a friend. Tyler preferred to say “see you later” instead of goodbye. He had many friends and surely would hope to see all of them on the other side. In death, Tyler fulfilled his wish to help others through organ donation. His gift helped others to continue their lives in spite of sickness. Being the quiet, humble hero was his way. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Scott and Lora (Colby) Barshow; twin brother, Joseph Barshow; older brother, Christopher Kraft; maternal grandparents, Joe and Dorothy Colby; paternal grandparents, Jacquie Barshow, Dick Barshow and April Smith; uncle Richard Colby and his wife Dawn; nephews, Benjamin and Joshua; niece, Caroline; numerous “aunts”, “uncles”, “cousins” and friends. Relatives, friends and anyone who knew Tyler are invited to call on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 2 to 4 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. Tyler loved all the colors of the rainbow and would like for all who attend to not feel obligated to wear black. Tyler was a spiritual person but not religious. In his honor, please feel free to think of a story or thought about him that you might like to share. Donations in memory of Tyler Kefton Barshow may be made to your favorite veteran’s benefit organization. Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru, 643-9055.
