Charlotte M. (Varno) Dashnaw, 91, of Mason Street, Morrisonville, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2023 at the UVM Health Network – CVPH, Plattsburgh with her loving family by her side. She was born in Plattsburgh on August 21, 1931, the daughter of James and Irene (Bates) Varno. Charlotte’s joy came from spending time with her family; she loved camping with family and friends traveling in their camper, and long drives on Sunday afternoons while listening to her favorite country music. Charlotte always had a beautiful smile and she was loved by all. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Bruce Dashnaw (Charlene), Gloria Dashnaw, Robert Dashnaw (Nancy), Kenneth Dashnaw (Barbara), Barbara DuBrey (Timmy), Francis Dashnaw (Christina), Brenda Jones (Justin), Christopher Dashnaw, and Becky Dashnaw; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; great great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Carlo, Jean Hayden, and Eva Macey; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Francis Dashnaw; daughter, Bonnie Grube; companion, Ellis Rock; sisters, Nancy Grenier, and Margaret Varno; and brother, Harry Supernaw, Jr. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, April 10, 2023 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Maninx Road, Peru. Donations in memory of Charlotte M. Dashnaw may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105. Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru, 643-9055.
