Obituary of Marian Morse Peters

Marian Morse Peters, 76, of Jenkins Street, Peru, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Meadowbrook Healthcare in Plattsburgh, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Schenectady, May 29, 1946, the daughter of the late, Vreeland and Janet (Covel) Morse. Marian graduated from Peru High School in 1964 and Albany Business College in 1965. She married John Peters, September 13, 1969, in the Peru Community Church. John predeceased her March 31, 2000. Marian worked at the Peru Central School for many years prior to retiring. She was a lifelong member of the Peru Community Church. Marian enjoyed lunch dates with family and friends, and a beer with Jimmy on the porch; however her true love was precious time with her grandchildren. In earlier years when her kids were young, she enjoyed family camping trips. Left to cherish the memory of Marian, are, her two children and their spouses, Benjamin and Christine Peters, and Katie and Michael Francia; four grandchildren, Greyson and Mallory Peters, and John and Anna Francia; special friend, Jim Hughes; brother, Michael Morse; sister, Amy Morse; sister-in-law, Toy Morse; and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brother, Roy "Rick" Morse, November 11, 2017. Calling hours will be held Monday, March 27, 2023 from 4 to 6 pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in God's Acre Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to Meadowbrook Healthcare Activities Fund.
