Obituary of Gloria Ann Vincent Miner

Gloria Ann Vincent Miner, 87, of Tremblay Avenue, died Thursday, February 16, 2023, at the UVM Health Network, CVPH in Plattsburgh, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Altona, April 22, 1935, the daughter of Frederick and Ruby (West) Burdo. Gloria held many jobs over the years, including, Sharon Department Store, the Telephone Company, Physician's Hospital, Georgia Pacific, the City of Plattsburgh, West End Furniture, and NYSEG. She was a snow bird since she was 44, having stayed in Lake Wales, FL for 25 years. Gloria was a lifetime member of DAV Auxiliary and a devoted Catholic. Left to cherish the memory of Gloria are, her husband, John Miner of Plattsburgh; children, Larry and Roxy Vincent of Morrisonville, Linda and Barry Dragon of Peru, Betty Gadway of Hollywood, FL, and Kim and Mike Lefebvre of Hot Springs, AR; grandchildren, Erika Stranahan and companion, Joe Godin, Lee and Kim Gadway, Michelle Dragon, Michael Lefebvre and fiance, Amiee Sullivan, Beth Dupre and fiance, Nick Stewart, Chris and Amy Gadway, Bryan and Jessie Lefebvre, Alicia and Rob Kortlang; great-grandchildren, Billy Stranahan and wife, Kayla and Hannah Stranahan, Annabelle, Trinity and Evelyn Dupre, Aiden and Melaina Dragon-Nagel, Tim and Landen Gadway, Makayla and Allyson Gadway, Dylan Lefebvre, and Dakota Kortlang; one great-great-grandson, Jackson Stranahan; sister, Leona Caron of CT; brother-in-law, James Sayers of Plattsburgh; and step-children, Jane Cordova, John Miner, Jr., Andrew Miner, Lori Miner, Brian Miner, Paula Miner, and Alan Miner. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her DAV member husband, Robert Vincent; sister, Freida Sayers; brothers, Clarence, Eldon, and Robert. Calling hours will be held Sunday, February 19, 2023 from 2 to 4 pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, February 20, 2023 at Noon at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora. Burial will be in the spring in the parish cemetery.
