Katelynn Devin Brooke “Katie” Damour, 23, of the Strackville Road, Saranac, died accidently, Saturday, February 11, 2023 at her residence, alongside her beloved companion Robert, their unborn son Oliver Robert and her son Diesel. She was born in Malone, June 22, 1999, the daughter of Angela (Lawrence) Daoust and the late, Kevin Damour. Katie graduated from Chateauguay Central School in 2019. She loved the arts and the beach. She enjoyed being outdoors, taking trips and experiencing various types of food. She loved Robbie, her baby boy who was her life, and all her friends and family. Survivors include her mother, Angela Lawrence Daoust and her step father, Andrew; three brothers, Ian, Finn, and Weston; and maternal grandmother, Cheryl Lawrence; uncles, Trevor, Justin, and Jason; aunts, Kelly and Karen; and several other family members. She was predeceased by her father, Kevin Damour; maternal grandfather, Frank Lawrence; paternal grandfather, Richard "Dick" LaPointe; maternal great-grandparents, Pete and Lois Dufrane; maternal great-grandmother, Anna Lawrence; and uncle, William Daoust. Calling hours will be held Friday, February 17, 2023 from 2 to 5 pm at St. Augustine’s Church in Peru. A prayer will be offered at the conclusion of the wake at 5 pm, in the church. A dinner reception will follow at the Saranac American Legion Post 1618, 275 Wilson Road, Saranac, NY 12981, for friends and family to gather and share stories while honoring and remembering them. Donations in her memory may be made to the Dannemora Fire Dept. or the charity of your choice. Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru, 643-9055.
