Joyce C. Allen, 79, of Sonya Way, Plattsburgh, died Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at the UVM Health Network, CVPH in Plattsburgh.
She was born in Westfield, Massachusetts, August 8, 1943, the daughter of Francis H. and Ruth Mae (Lillie) Randall. Joyce grew up in Westfield, Massachusetts and graduated from Westfield High School.
She married Robert E. Allen, Jr., October of 1994 in Westfield, Massachusetts.
Joyce was the activities director for many years Barnard's Rest Home in Westfield, Massachusetts.
She enjoyed knitting, crafting, reading, camping, and spending time in Florida.
Left to cherish the memory of Joyce are, her husband of 28 years, Robert "Bob" Allen; children, Cheryl Snyder, Melinda Pummell, and Eric Nye; daughter-in-law, Susan Allen; sisters, Shirley Tower, and Carol Fournier; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Kathleen Nye; and a brother, Arthur Randall.
There will be no public services.
Donations in her memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
