No matter how busy you were Dad at work, at home, at church, playing trumpet, on the farm ... you always seemed to have time to play with us, hug us, listen to us, help us with our homework, and so much more.
My favorite memory was as children we used to get up early in the morning, tiptoe to Dad and Mom's room, and sit outside their door in the hallway and wait for them to get up. Of course we didn't know that they knew the whole time, that we were up and waiting outside their door. And we also didn't know Dad had been up until the wee hours of the morning putting toys together.
I am so thankful I had him for my Dad.

Clarence Trego is my uncle we always called him uncle Trego. I remember when he lived in Berwick but outside of Berwick he had a cow and he had a humongous turkey. The turkey weighed I think 50 or 75 pounds when they butchered it it was so big I loved his family and I hope everybody remembers him. He was a kind, thoughtful man And he worked hard. One day he was working at the Berwick. Cigar plate and he did a lot of traveling and one day he decided he was going to go to Minnesota. He picked up his family, his young children and wife and they moved to Minnesota. They bought a farm. The first winter they were there it was so cold, which they were not used to and the chickens froze on the roost and I’ll never forget that as long as I live. Uncle Trego I miss you I always enjoy talking to you and I know you’re looking down on all of us while you’re up in heaven please look up my son Jody well you’re up in heaven. While you’re up in heaven, please look up my son Jody thank you love you, uncle Trego

Although there are memories too numerous to mention, my most fondest is when you walked home from the Consolidated Cigar Corporation to our house at 800 Market Street. By the time you reached 9th and Market Street us kids would take turns running to you down the sidewalk and you would catch us and swing us up in your arms. Your wonderful love is eternal.
