Brian Keith McKee, 62, of Paula Way, Plattsburgh, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at the UVM Health Network – CVPH, Plattsburgh with his loving family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh on April 24, 1960, the son of Vernon and Doris (Provost) McKee. Brian was a hard working man even from a very young age. He took pride in all the work that he did not only in his construction work but the work that he also completed in his personal life. He spent his summers working and his winters baking his sweet treats that everyone loved. He dedicated his life to the ones that he loved and could light up any room that he walked into by cracking a simple joke. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 41 years, Sherry (Frenyea) McKee; children, Keith McKee (Spouse Mandi) and Derrick McKee (Spouse Caitlin); grandchildren, Josh Adams, Austin Blow, Dakota McKee, Caine Mckee, Maverick McKee and Cecily McKee; Nieces, Johanna Pray (Significant other Brandon) and Kloiee Frenyea; Sister in law, Annette (Frenyea) Miller; Along with many other in-laws and brothers and sisters. Brian was predeceased by his parents, Vernon and Doris McKee; Sister, Susan; and his Mother and Father In-law, Lucille and Richard Frenyea. Honoring his wishes there will be no public calling hours or services. The burial in the spring will be open to the public in the Peasleeville Cemetery. Donations in memory of Brian Keith McKee may be made to the Autism Alliance of Northeastern NY. Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru, 643-9055.
