Penelope "Penny" Barbara Merrill, 66, of Blake Road, Peru, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at the Adirondack Medical Center, wrapped in the loving embrace of family and friends that loved her.
She was born October 25, 1956 to the late Harris H. and Evelene (Ormsby) Merrill. A graduate of Peru Central High School and student of SUNY Plattsburgh, she was the owner of the former AM/PM Taxi company.
Penny enjoyed many things in her life including cooking, crafting, singing, gardening, playing guitar, and camping; a perfect day would be spent fishing with a picnic and her family. She fulfilled her life with the love of those she surrounded herself with.
There will be no calling hours or services as per her wishes. Burial will be private at Peru cemetery in Spring of 2023.
Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru, 643-9055.
