Obituary of Beverly R. Carte

Beverly R. “Bev” Carte, 85, or Murphy Road, Peru, died peacefully at home in her sleep with her beloved son Tracy by her side on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. She was born in Plattsburgh on May 17, 1937, the daughter of Fred and Florence (Gordon) Rock. Bev enjoyed many things in her life including, canning, playing bingo and going to the casino. She loved watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Bev also enjoyed the peacefulness of gardening. Bev was an active member at St. Augustine’s Church and cherished attending Church every Sunday. Left to cherish her memory is her children, Tracy, Brad, Jeffery, and Debbie. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles Carte (1999); sons, Timothy, Kenneth and Bryan Carte. Tracy would like to extend his heartfelt gratitude for the gentle and loving care provided for Bev by dear friends, Star Claremont, Luke Malott and Brian Pugh. Relatives and friends are invited to call on January 12, 2023 from Noon to 2 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 PM at St. Patrick’s Church, Patent Road, Peru, with Rev. William G. Reamer, officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
