Obituary of Charles Joseph Fournier

Charles Joesph Fournier, 58, of Seymour Road, West Chazy passed away on Friday, December 16th, 2022 at the UVM Health Network-CVPH, Plattsburgh. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on June 2, 1964, the son of Charles and Mary ( Nelson) Fournier. Charles was known to many as Charlie or Chopper, but also as Dad, MY CHARLIE and Derby Dad; but his most proud title was Pappy. Charlie was a family man; there was nothing he enjoyed more than spending time with his family. He also enjoyed camping, collecting scrap, fixing tractors, splitting wood, and sharing a night out with his brother Mark. Charlie’s smile could light up any room and his kind heart was known by many. Left to cherish the memory of Charlie is the love of his life and fiancé, Cheryl David Cody; children, Devin and Shawntel Fournier; granddaughter, Avery Elizabeth Fournier; siblings, Kate Ward, Cindy Roberts (Donnie), Timmy Fournier (Sue), Matt Fournier (Peggy) and Mark Fournier; special aunt and uncle, Linda and Walter Fournier; as well as Nieces, Nephews and MANY cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Mary Fournier; sisters, Sandra Marbut and Mary-Lou Stone; brothers-in-law, Bill Ward, Ronald Marbut and Jack Stone; niece, Samantha Fournier; nephew, Joshua Roberts; and many aunts and uncles. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 1 to 3 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A Memorial Service will be held in the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel at 3 PM with Rev. William G. Reamer, officiating. Burial will be in the spring in St. Mathews Cemetery, Black Brook.
