Obituary of James Allen Earl

James Allen "Jim" Earl, 78, of the Blackman Corners Road, Mooers Forks, died peacefully in his sleep, Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Elderwood Of Uihlein At Lake Placid in Lake Placid, NY. He was born in Plattsburgh, July 24, 1944, son of the late Herbert and Ethel (Castine) Earl. Jim grew up in Champlain and attended St. Mary's Academy in Champlain. He was employed at a number of places over the course of his life. He was employed for many years at Harris Graphics in Champlain, Chazy Orchard and Giroux Poultry in Chazy, FW Meyers in Champlain and lastly at Consolidated Apparel Group in Rouses Point. Jim also had a craft business, B&E Crafts, with his sister, Shirley, and brother-in-law, Jerry. Jim lived a simple life. He enjoyed sitting on his front porch, playing card games on his computer, building model cars and trucks, and watching game shows and old westerns on the TV in the afternoon. His true joy came from spending time with his great-nephew, Harvey and his great-niece, Holly. They truly were his pride and joy and he looked forward to their daily visits. Left to cherish the memory of Jim are, his niece and her husband, Sarah and Kyle Deneault and their children, Harvey and Holly, all of Mooers. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Shirley A. and Gerald F. "Jerry" Baker. At Jim's request there will be no public calling hours. A private graveside service will be held in the Glenwood Cemetery in Champlain. Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 793 Gilbert Road, Mooers, 236-4747.
