Robert P. Bresette, 69, of Scott Lane, Keeseville, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at the UVM Health Network – CVPH, Plattsburgh. He was born on January 25, 1953, the son of John and Dora (Hackett) Bresette. Robert cherished his childhood memories growing up on the shores of Lake Champlain with his 9 brothers and 1 sister in Keeseville, NY. In his early years Robert was a proud and ambitious young man who rose the ranks of the local chapter of Boy Scouts of America eventually achieving the title of Eagle Scout. Robert graduated from AuSable Valley Central School in June 1971 and enlisted in the United States Air Force. During his over twenty-year career as a Technical Sergeant he was recognized for his superior performance and dedication to duty numerous times. His Air Force service jacket noted that he was compassionate, caring and always went out of his way to help others. Robert retired in July 1991 and spent his later years watching his family grow, taking trips on Lake Champlain, fishing, watching his New York Giants, NASCAR, enjoying scenic drives and photographing his beloved Adirondack Park. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of forty-six years, Flora (Gina) Apostol Bresette; his son Eric Bresette; his son Jamey Bresette and daughter in law Lisa Bresette with four grandchildren Alyssa Bresette, Khloe Bresette, Sophia Bresette, and Cullen Bresette; and his daughter April Dispensa and son in law Timothy Dispensa. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held in the spring in Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville, 834-7667.
