Eugene Alfred “Gene” LaFountain, 61, of Division Street, Keeseville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at home under the loving care of his family and High Peaks Hospice.
He was born in Plattsburgh on March 15, 1961 the son of Vernon LaFountain and Shirley Sousis.
Eugene is survived by his mother, Shirley Sousis and her husband, Robert; sister, Robin (Mike) Williams; brothers, Lucien (Crystal) LaFountain, Glenn (Rebecca) LaFountain, and Charles (Jackie) LaFountain; step brothers and sisters; many nieces and nephews; and his close friends, especially, Susan Bronson.
He was predeceased by his father, Vernon LaFountain; brother, Jesse; and paternal and maternal grandparents.
Gene loved sports, computer games, and especially fishing.
Honoring his wishes there will be no public calling hours. A graveside service will be held Friday, November 18, 2022 at Noon in St. John’s Cemetery in Keeseville.

Donations in his memory may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
