Ronald P. Coleman, 72, of School Street, Keeseville, NY, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 unexpectedly at his home with his loving wife by his side.
He was born in Plattsburgh on July 26, 1950 the son of Donald and Titus (O'Keefe) Coleman.
Ron started his professional career at Diamond International where he served many years as a supervisor. Most who knew Ron however could relate with him over the 37 years he served at Clinton Correctional Facility. In Ron's earlier years, he not only owned/rented many properties throughout the community but also was a logger.
In his prime, Ron was an avid runner having participated in numerous marathons including the NYS Olympics. Everyone who knew Ron however knew that he was an avid joker and had a heart of gold! Ron was the epitome of kindness and having a fun/loving nature. Ron was an avid Yankee's fan, and collector of all things; namely coins and baseball cards. Ron will be sorely missed and forever remembered as a legend!
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 17 years, Elizabeth (Williamson) Coleman; children, Kathleen Everson, Katie Coleman, Ken Coleman; step-children, Michele Aubin, Kelly Meseck; and grandchildren, Savannah, Jordan, Jacob, Memphis, and Sarah; and siblings, Cheryl Blanchard, Donna Duquette, Andy Coleman, Michael Coleman, William Coleman, and Gail Coleman.
Ron was predeceased by his parents.
Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, November 1st, 2022 from 1 to 3 pm at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A prayer service will follow at 3 pm in the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel. Committal prayers will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Keeseville, NY. Family and friends are also welcome to a celebration of life at the VFW Post 1505, 1309 US Route 9, Keeseville, NY, from 4 to 6 pm.
