Obituary of Karen Beth McCormick

Please share a memory of Karen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Karen Beth is our ray of happiness in the magnificent family Mom and Dad created. Karen, "The Good Twin", lived with her whole heart! She is blessed with the gift of gracious adaptation, allowing her to live a full life of giving and receiving love unconditionally. Through her mischievous sense of humor, limitless smiles, and "stantial" hugs, Karen brightened any room and left an everlasting impact on the many lives she touched. Karen's greatest joys are holding and feeding babies, listening to chitchat and stories; her most favorite being those of her immediate family and extended ARC family. Nice people brought her real joy. Like all McCormicks, she enjoys good food; from Nanny's cheeseball, Mom's dinners, Dad's breakfasts and Lois' desserts. Karen cherishes singing, music, playing catch, being read to, playing cards and doing all things to enhance her natural beauty: picking from her extensive wardrobe, makeup, nails, hair! In her youth she was an energetic ribbon winner in the Special Olympics! She also enjoyed picnics, especially with her extended McCormick families. She had many a good time at hunting camp as well. Karen will forever more hold the record of most times winning her family's coveted Camper of the Week trophy! Karen entered this world six minutes after her twin Lois on November 4, 1965. With the love of her sisters, brothers and extended family surrounding her, she gracefully entered the next world on October 12, 2022. Karen's family will carry her memory close and make more in her honor. Karen happily joined her Mom Kathryn, Dad Jim, and pets Wiggles and Q-tip in heaven. She is survived by her brother Burt McCormick (Jackie), Cynthia O'Keefe (John), Daniel McCormick (Neha), and Lois Roberts (Steve). A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 9:00 am at the Immaculate Conception Church in Keeseville, with Rev. Kris C. Lauzon, parish priest, celebrating. Committal prayers and burial will follow in the parish cemetery. At the conclusion all are invited to partake in Karen's celebration of life at Giuseppe's restaurant, Front Street, downtown, Keeseville. In lieu of flowers, please go out and spread unconditional love as our sister Karen did. Karen's family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to her loving ARC family, her phenomenal CVPH ICU caregivers, and her friends, all of whom took such incredibly loving care of our sister. Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville, 834-7667.
