
Obituary of William H. Jette

William H. Jette, of Morrisonville, known as Billy to his many friends, departed this world on Friday, October 7, 2022, with his loving wife and family by his side. He was born to Ernest William Jette and Veronica/Ronnie (Gilmet) Jette on August 28, 1950 in Plattsburgh.
Billy graduated from OLVA High School in 1969, and then started an apprenticeship with IBEW Electrical Union working as an electrician for 40 years. His many assignments brought him to job sites throughout the US until his retirement in 2010.
Always a loyal NY Yankee and Giant fan, he enjoyed NASCAR, his family and being at his second home, the American Legion in West Plattsburgh.
He was a loyal friend, kind and compassionate to all that he met. His absence will be felt by many including his adopted family at the Legion, Post 1619.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 38 years, Victoria “Vicki” (Kriplin) Jette; twin daughters, Jodi (Tom) McCabe and Jill Jette; sisters, Jane Spassoff and Jacki Kelly (Bruce Jarvis); and his first wife, Kathy (Carter) Root, all from Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Gerard; grandparents; and brother-in-law, John Spassoff.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 11:30 AM at St. Alexander’s Church, Morrisonville with Rev. Scott Seymour, celebrating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Following the burial, please join his family for a reception at the West Plattsburgh American Legion, Post 1619.
