Susan M. Nolan, 63, of the Nolan Road, AuSable Forks, died Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at the UVM Health Network, CVPH in Plattsburgh, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Keene Valley, June 3, 1959, the daughter of Francis C. and Barbara J. (Santo) Rhino. She grew up in AuSable Forks and graduated from AuSable Valley Central High School in 1977. Susan retired from FCI Raybrook in 1997. She was a prior member of the Rotary Club of AuSable Valley. Susan enjoyed knitting and crocheting, reading, spending time at the family camp at Fern Lake, and her two dogs, Zozo and Peppe. But, more than anything, she loved spending time with her granddaughters, Addison and Lauren. Left to cherish the memories of Susan are, her loving husband of almost 44 years, Ricky L. Nolan, whom she married on January 20, 1979 at Holy Name Church; her children, Devann and Thomas Murphy and Emily and Kevin Colegrove; her granddaughters, Addison and Lauren Colegrove; brother Randy Rhino; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; great-great nieces and nephews; cousins; and friends, all of whom she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Richard J. Rhino. Calling hours will be held Friday, October 7, 2022 from 10 to Noon at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A funeral service will follow at Noon in the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kris C. Lauzon, officiating. Committal prayers and burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Family and friends will be welcomed at a reception at VFW Post 1505 in Keeseville, following the burial. Donations in her memory may be made to the AuSable Forks Volunteer Ambulance Service. Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru, 643-9055.
