Obituary of Marilyn Ester Rabideau

Marilyn E. Rabideau, 88, of Woods Falls Road, Mooers Forks, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 15, 2022 at the UVM Health Network – CVPH, Plattsburgh, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Mooers Forks on April 10, 1934, the daughter of Robert and Lillian (Lamberton) Soden. Marilyn was a homemaker and enjoyed going to bingo and being with family and friends. Left to cherish her memory is her two sons and their families, Kenneth and Tina Rabideau and Ricky and Patty Rabideau; grandchildren, Jamie and Alissa Rabideau, Sherry and Christopher Rogers, Robert and Ashley Rabideau, Carrie Rabideau and Jesse Sampica, and Katie Rabideau and Lance Rabideau; many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy and Clifton Dupee, and Patricia Rucker; brothers-in-law, David McCrea, Robert Lamberton, Floyd LaValley, and Harold Rabideau; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Morris Rabideau; second husband, Francis Rabideau; son, Robert Rabideau; twin sister, Maryian McCrea; and sisters, Janet Lamberton, Joyce LaValley, and Shirley Rabideau. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, August 19, 2022 from Noon to 2 PM at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 793 Gilbert Road, Mooers. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 PM in the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel with, Rev. Pedro Edgardo “Jay” de la Rosa, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Woods Falls Road, Mooers Forks. Donations in memory of Marilyn Rabideau may be made to the Champlain-Mooers Volunteer Ambulance Service or the American Cancer Society.
