Obituary of Lorraine M. Johnson

On October 22, 2021, Lorraine M. Johnson lost her battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born in buffalo New York in 1943 and spent most of her life in Keeseville. She was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Alma Bresette, sister, Evelyn Bracken, brother-in-law, James Bracken, and step-son Peter Johnson. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 37 years Joseph, brothers, Wayne (Laura) Bresette, and Bernard (Edwina) Bresette; children, Toni Lynn (Art), Heidi (Perry), Paul T.; step-son Nicholas; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Lorraine worked most of her life in the medical profession at CVPH in Plattsburgh and hospitals in the Albany area. She was very active in sports, including, bowling, cross country skiing, horseshoes and her favorite golfing in Myrtle Beach. As a volunteer she was president of the Ladies of the Elks and chaired the big brother/big sister organization. Many Elk members probably remember her famous spaghetti sauce. She was a character, full of life, and a great mother and the best wife in the world. On Saturday, August 20, 2022, there will be a private burial for her ashes at Port Douglas Cemetery followed by a celebration of life at the Keeseville Elks Lodge at 1:00 pm. All friends and relatives are invited to attend the celebration of life to share stories, food and refreshments. Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 124 Clinton Street, Keeseville, 834-7667.
