This man was a dear friend of our family for many yrs. in Keeseville. He was passing by our home on Hill St. many yrs. ago when my Dad (Bill Benware) was doing an additional to our home & he stopped pulled out his faithful "Hammer" that was always in his truck & began to helped along with alot of other friends of my dad & nailed & nailed on the framing till it was complete. Then again, on the next day came back to help with the roof.... Those kind people you don't forget in your lives.... He was a great carpenter, and exceptional parent that showned all his children a skill that they have forever in todays world. God Bless you Herbie for you were loved by alot of people for your friendship, skills, and a parent. Your children were so lucky to have you as a dad.... Take that hammer with you because only "God" knows what kind of job you will find up above.....
