Nicholas Charles Damiani, Sr., of Guideboard Rd., Schuylerfalls, NY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at a family home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of the North Country. Nicholas was born on July 5th, 1958 in Waterbury Connecticut. He was raised in Wolcott CT by his parents, Joseph and Beverly Damiani. He graduated from High School in 1976 prior to enlisting in the United States Air Force. After an honorable discharge from the service, Nicholas worked and retired from New York State Corrections. He loved being outside camping, fishing, playing baseball, football, softball, and horseshoes with family and friends. In his retirement years, he enjoyed working at Bluff Point Golf Course and attending Peru Football games as a member of the chain gang. Left to cherish his memory are his children and their spouses; Spring and Sam Godfrey Jr, David Joy II and Michelle Gadway, Nicholas and Jenny Damiani, and Amber Damiani. His memory will also be cherished by his siblings and their spouses; Lynn and Jim Kornita, Chris and Lenore Damiani, and Trisha and Carlos Sarmiento. Nicholas is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Joseph and Beverly, he was predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Robin (Baker) Damiani on December 26th, 2020 Relatives and friends are invited to call on August 6, 2022 from 10 to Noon at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. Burial with Graveside prayers offered by Rev. William G. Reamer, along with Military and NYSDOC Honors will follow in Evergreen Cemetery (Grove St. Entrance) in Keeseville, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Nicholas Charles Damiani, Sr. may be made to Hospice of the North Country. Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru, 643-9055.
